Freedom High School Featured on MTV

“Sure, I have a nice house; I have nice clothes. But if you really knew me, you’d know that I don’t want any of that stuff, and it wasn’t until my family moved into that nice house that we grew apart.” This is a confession that Leikin Poppino made that is used as a teaser on MTV. The interview is part of the docu-series “If You Really Knew Me”.

Poppino was a senior at the Freedom High School in Oakley California when he made this confession. For the docu-series debut episode, it will turn its spotlight on Freedom High School and the activity called Challenge Day that was held August of last year.

According to Principal Erik Faulkner, Freedom High School once hosted the nationwide program that aims to inspire students to set aside their differences and show kindness and respect to one another. This program most popularly known as Challenge Day has been going on for more than ten years.

When the organizers of the said program asked him if he wanted Freedom to be featured in “If You Really Knew Me”, he did not think twice on the matter because he was certain that the experience will create a good impact on the students.
